14yo - what size socks please?

If I'm buying socks for a 14 year do I need to know their shoe size or do they still come in ages at that age?

Yes shoe size. But ime, if they are size 11 go for the 12+ not not 9-11

I'd be thinking adult sizes, and 'normal' vs 'big' would be near enough to figure out which to choose. (family of big feet owners)

They come in shoe sizes at all ages OP, even for young kids, otherwise the 12-3.5 size would prove perplexing to most parents
