If you wear reading glasses & use a computer... advice appreciated

Just been to the optician and have a small ADD (1.0) for reading on my prescription, but no distance correction is needed.

My job involves close-up reading and computer work, flitting between a screen and hard copy materials. Will reading glasses for close-up make it difficult to read a computer screen?

The standard solution is to perch your reading glasses on the end of your nose and look over them at the screen, I think. Or at least that's what my colleagues do. I have specific prescribed computer glasses which work for everything except long distance.

Thanks chemenger.

Mentally, I'm morphing into my gran, who used to wear half-height glasses like this. I had no idea why Blush but it makes sense now.
