Costing me so much I don’t no what to do

I’ve posted previously about my struggles with endometriosis I’m in daily pain on lots of medication and can just about manage to work 3 days a week with some over time if feel upto it I earn next to nothing but don’t qualify for pip I need pelvic floor therapy I’ve paid a top endometriosis doctor last year and he recommended it along with my gp have been waiting for a letter regarding it but I’ve had no reply finally found out it’s atleast 18 month waiting list to see one been waiting 6 months already and no one said anything to me so I’m going to have to go private. It costs 50 or 96 pounds depending on appointment time and they recommend 8 sessions. it’s going to cut into my savings and I’ve saved this money for if I have to have time off work for surgery. I really don’t no what to do my partner has offered to pay half but he really shouldn’t have too we’ve only been together a year I’ve cried over it all night I also can’t drive currently having lessons the nearest place to me is a 10 taxi ride no busses well one bus a day in the morning and one in the evenings. I’m going to pay for it as I desperately need some relief I can barley walk at times. Just here for a rant feels so much better to write it all down

Sounds like your partner really cares and wants to help. So I would let him.

I agree - let your partner help. He wouldn't have offered if he didn't want to help. Best of luck - it sounds horrendous.

Thank you I will have to let him help I just know he needs the money too

There’s nothing wrong with depending on others
at times especially when offers are there.

Get yourself the treatment- get thing’s manageable and then you might find space abs energy for any changes you want to make for yourself.

Turns out the therapist is fully booked until end of august and only free on Thursdays I work Thursdays and she finishes at 2 no more in my area so will have to look further afield

Are you able to talk with your work to swap Thursday for a period of time until the therapy is finished?
It sounds so bad, I’m glad you have a good partner who wants to help.

I’m going to see if I can swap although we are a small team and one of holidays sickness are covered but it’s a struggle to get lock term cover

It’s good to ask. Do you have any other support in place ? Aside from the appointments. Sounds like you could benefit from coaching support or something

I’m about to start some therapy to help with some other issues I have a great support network too

This is all very positive. How are you feeling since you said he could help ?

Better it’s just a pain I can’t really get the tome off work would have to be holiday I need 8 sessions they think I only get 11 days have used a few already this year and I can’t even swap the days 2 of the other staff work part time too and have commitments on the day I work I’ve tried to find another therapist there’s one an hour away so I’m going to see if I can see her although it involves a 2 hour round trip
