Looking to go to London for my son's 18th, anyone have any good recommendations. He likes Indian, Italian, Mexican or American style food.

Dishoom if you fancy Indian or Duck and Waffle (24 hour restaurant with amazing views 40 floors up over the city of London).

In fact if you're staying over do Dishoom for dinner and then Duck and Waffle for breakfast!

RamItBunty · 03/07/2021 18:29

Duck and waffle sounds very interesting.

pitterpatterrain · 03/07/2021 18:31

Would agree with Dishoon as well

pitterpatterrain · 03/07/2021 18:31

For wow factor duck & waffle is a good recommendation

QueenStromba · 03/07/2021 18:53

Definitely Wahaca - it's amazing.

bongbigboobingbongbing · 03/07/2021 18:56

Tayyabs in Whitechapel is incredible food, very good value and BYO booze.

mynameisbrian · 03/07/2021 18:58

If i was coming for an 18th I would go for a place with a view. So i agree with the duck and waffle suggestion.

mamapama · 03/07/2021 20:26

mindutopia · 03/07/2021 20:33

Dishoom is really good. We used to live in Mumbai and it’s very authentic proper Indian food.

RamItBunty · 03/07/2021 20:36

Yes I like dishoom a lot

Eleoura · 03/07/2021 20:39

Which area will you be staying in? This will have a huge baring on recommendations- unless you are happy to travel all over!

PPCD · 03/07/2021 20:41

Definitely Wahacas for Mexican.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 03/07/2021 20:41

If he likes chinese, Hutong has amazing views.

GlencoraP · 03/07/2021 20:42

My teenage boys loved this place , it’s very central just off The Strand and near Trafalgar Square
tandoorchophouse.com/

The kitchen is open so you can see them making the Naans and raking stuff out of the tandoori oven .

GlencoraP · 03/07/2021 20:44

It’s also pretty reasonable price wise for central London
