Coffee machine

Hello
I would really like a coffee machine for my birthday. I want one that I can just press a button and it makes it. If one came with a timer that would also be amazing. Budget is about £100 maybe a bit over. Does anyone have any recommendations? It's a minefield out there!

I’ve got a swan retro one.

I love it 🥰

Did you want pod or bean to cup?.

bluedomino · 03/07/2021 18:18

My Delonghi espresso machine has been the best thing I've ever bought. Some people think it's a faff but I enjoy the process. I'm afraid you won't get much for under £100 though. I had a pod one first but its expensive to buy and I felt so guilty about the environmental impact of pods. Also I like experimenting with new coffees. Enjoy your new machine!Brew

I think a pod one! I think you can get different flavours?

I've got a Tassimo My Way. I love it. You can adjust the coffee strength or set it for a regular or large size cup

I get my Costa Latte & Gingerbread Latte monthly on my Amazon Subscriptions. Saves a fortune

Tassimo my way is great if flavours and simple is what you want. We have a my way at work and a basic at home, they are both great, but thd my way allows you to brew stronger cups, or longer drink too for some drink selections.

Oh that sounds perfect! Thank you 🙂

Nespresso vertuo

Mamamamasaurus · 03/07/2021 19:05

We have Nespresso, you can buy pods from Asda, Tesco and Amazon, love it.

I've had a very expensive coffee bean to cup coffee machine, and really I prefer the coffee in a stove top coffee maker.

But I really like the coffee in this machine lavazza which is much nicer than the bean to cup stuff and the milk frother is really good! (I mostly drink espresso but my dds love the frother).

HelenHywater · 03/07/2021 19:08

And the lavazza pods also cheaper on amazon.

I recommend the nespresso magimix, it's nice and compact and easy to clean. Also, eden project make plastic free, compostable pods. I get them off amazon. Really nice varieties of coffee!

I’ve tried dolce gusto (machine in work so I really persevered on this one) and Tassimo (in center parks so not for long!) and I have a nespresso at home.

I much much much prefer the nespresso coffee. I recycle all the pods with nespresso so don’t feel so bad about the environment.

I have a ‘citiz plus milk’ and the milk thingy is separate - I used to make lattes but have moved to black (partly as it tastes nice and partly as the calories in copious amounts of latte are huge!)

Love my nespresso

I have a Nespresso Vertuo which has bigger capsules so you don't just have to make espresso. It's on special offer at the moment. I'd really recommend it. I've had it for a couple of years and use it every day. I bought iced coffee capsules this year and had some lovely cool drinks.
