Are there any recommendations for things to try from Harvy Nicks?
I'm on holiday in another part of the country and we're off to a local city on the way home.
Any recommendations? For like snacks and things mainly.

I usually pick up a S’mores kit for DD, a small bottle of their rose fizz for myself and the little pots of sweets they do.

Pre Covid DD liked to choose a cake from the fresh counter but not sure what they’re doing these days. The red velvet was nice apparently.

That’s the Manchester one and they do have a few bit of “whoopsed” discounted food here and there.

Honestly? I'd be extremely cautious. I've seen mouldy sausages in the chiller cabinet, out of date ground coffee on the shelves. Some of the seasonal baked goods must be 99.999% preservative as they're made so many months in advance.

Alcohol and preserves are your best bet. Or the cheese counter!

(I don't deny it's all very pretty - but I haven't been into my local HN for ages, since the clothing department turned into what looked like an embarrassing and empty wholesale warehouse.)
