Do Tesco compensate for this?

My weekly shop (plus Friday night snacks and prosecco) was due to arrive between 7 and 8. At 6.30 I got a text to say they were running late and would be here between 7 and 9.30.

There’s still no sign of the delivery. Will they still deliver now or am I okay to go to bed? And do they offer anything like vouchers for lateness?

Check it hasn’t been delivered to your neighbours! Grin

You should have a customer services number you can call. They will know where the van is.

singlehun · 02/07/2021 22:03

You deserve at least a million for not delivering Friday night snacks and prosecco!!!

singlehun · 02/07/2021 22:03

They'll give you £20 credit if you complain

RaskolnikovsGarret · 02/07/2021 22:05

I got five pounds for a ten hour delay. But I didn’t complain, so maybe I could have got more if I had.

FizzyPink · 02/07/2021 22:07

Just called and there’s an automated message saying due to unprecedented demand they’re unable to give a specific time of arrival Confused

I wouldn’t normally mind but DP is at work and I’m self isolating so can’t even go to the shop!

Ours was late, no apology whatsoever. We complained and got literally a couple of quid. Although I think that was a Morrison's

Karwomannghia · 02/07/2021 22:15

Is it Asda?

Mayaspecialist · 02/07/2021 22:15

Unprecedented demand?

Is match 2020? How it Unprecedented after the empty shelves and no delivery slots for months?

Are they saying it worse than that?

FizzyPink · 02/07/2021 22:18

No Tesco. We actually switched this year from Sainsbury’s after a couple of incidents where the drivers ran out of time so just didn’t deliver, they couldn’t offer me another slot and then made me wait 7 days for a refund!

Gosh I’m surprised I’ve never had a problem with Tesco but I’ve heard Asda putting back delivery. So annoying!! They do answer if you ring so I hope you get compensated.
