Glue ear and grommets

Anyone had this as an adult and required surgery?

Finally waiting for my referral to ENT surgeon after literally YEARS of trying to get these issues sorted.

I have it in both ears and it's been absolutely miserable.

If you had surgery and grommets fitted, did it help? How did you find it?

Yes, grommets changed my life, unfortunately they are only temporary. I had to have surgery again to remove one as it got stuck, the other fell out naturally. They are fine day to day, you just can't get any water in your ears....
