So frustrated I could scream!

Please tell me I'm not the only one who has issues like this?

  1. Ordered some clothes through Matalan. Never received an order confirmation so did it again. Went through. I emailed to check I only had one order, yes they said only one. 2 orders arrived. Had to drive 40 min journey to return am unwanted duplicate order.
  1. My phone's microphone is playing up. Took it to a shop, charged £70, got it home - actually worse. Had to go back to get it changed back and partial refund...
  1. Get there, cannot find my bank card - v odd. Cant get refund cos it has to go on same card. Had to come away without refund so far
  1. Phone bank to get new card..20 mins in queue with screaming baby, had to give up.
  1. New Boots Advantage number. Tried.to add it to the app, says there is a problem.and I need to call them. 15 mins in queue and still.not got an answer
  1. Waiting for son's blood test results. Consultant due to phone a month ago never did, rescheduled for.today, still never phoned. Have complained to PALS.
  1. EE said they would call at 3.30 to arrange a new contract.. I had to.go out at 4. No call.

I'm so so frustrated!!!!

Ordered a specific filter for a dehumidifier from Amazon. Clicked the link, bought it and it was delivered.

The part is a very similar size to another filter, but it's the wrong size and shape.

I went to put a new filter in and lo and behold, it's the smaller filter.

Of course, it's too late to return them to Amazon.

Bought them again - specifically sought out the correct filter, clicked on the link and bought it - same again. The smaller one arrived.

I'm going to get a refund, but need a filter.

Have got two buses to an electrical wholesaler in the middle of horrendous roadworks to get the new part.

This will be a three hour round trip because of a mis-link on the Amazon website.

Check this.

After two buses through murderous traffic, I bought the filters.

I asked for the right size and was sold a box which stated the contents were the correct size.

After another two buses, I got home, opened the box, ripped open the plastic and found the wrong filters.

I've got to go back on Monday and ask for a replacement.

If Amazon have sent you the wrong one, it's not too late to return it. Just call them The 30 day return window is for changes of mind not faulty products or when you've been sent the wrong one.

I failed to spot amazon sent me a white bed instead of a black one the seller offered to exchange it (if I paid for return) or a 12% discount I took the discount because for 12% I can buy a can of spray paint 😉

Not just you- isn’t it frustrating!

I bought a top as a present- it said XL on the hanger but was XXL on the wrong hanger. Went back to the shop and sold out of the top. Returned it and ordered an XL online…. XXL just arrived but it says XL on all the packaging argh!

I ordered a pair of knee pads in XL online.

The order said XL

The confirmatory email receipt said XL

The delivery note said XL

The box said XL

The pads were XS.

I couldn't fit them on my elbows.

The return procedure was so complicated, I just donated to charity instead, but used a magic marker to cross out all references to XL and put XS

I know mistakes happen, but this time, it's £30. I have to have these filters.

Ordered replacement plastic for windows in summerhouse. Specifically pointed out two different sizes needed. Order confirmation said four panes of same size. Phoned again and was told not to worry, two of each size ordered. Waited six months due to covid. All the same size.

Ordered small chest from Wayfair. Two drawers bases missing. Phoned and ordered replacement bases, order said one base. Phoned again and operative was patronising to the point of rudeness saying order was correct. Guess what.

Writing this out is quite cathartic!

Ordered a headboard from Dreams. There were two versions in different fabrics. They sent the wrong one. Reordered. They sent the wrong one again, which I knew immediately, as there was a rip in the plastic covering in exactly the same place as the first order. Reordered once more. Same thing. Went to a different branch, told them the story and the fourth time they managed to get the correct one.

When you double check and you're lied to is the worst.

Packing error is one thing, but that looks like they're going out of their way to piss you off.

Off topic slightly but is that "refund to same card" thing right. Whenever I get a refund, the shop assistant always says firmly "It must be the same card you bought it on!!" I say "yes it is" confidently but present any old card (I've usually forgotten which one I used). Its always worked.

Back story.

I'm the first of my name to have a gmail account.

Think [email protected].

Every other Gingernaut on this planet has to follow me.

This means, if one of them wants a gmail account, they can't have Ginger.Naut. they have to have, say, Ginger1.Naut1, Gingernaut1, Gingernaut50 and so on.

However, many of them have forgotten their account numbers, put in [email protected] and their phones now autofill the incorrect details.

I know this, because I have had some interesting emails, clearly meant for other Gingernauts.

Demands for money, business critical spreadsheets, business proposals, confidential medical details, schools talking to exasperated mothers about 'disappointing' teenage sons, spam, membership newsletters, you name it. I've received it.

They've become so numerous, that my phone's autosuggestion line completes whole phrases of the 'standard' reply I send in reply.

That's the back story. Now cut through to yesterday.

Realising that Spotify is free (if you can put up with the ads), I thought I would give it a whirl.

I genuinely thought Spotify is a paid for service, so hesitated until yesterday.

I downloaded the app and when I opened it, it offered log in suggestions.

When I tried to log in via Google, it wouldn't let me.

I tried setting up an account with my gmail email and guess what?

One of the other Gingernauts in the world got there before me.

I can't use my email to create an account because some other dingbat mistyped her own email and generated an account for herself.

I had to create an account with an ancient hotmail account created bwck in the nineties.

I am half tempted to click on 'Forgotten Password', though. Grin

Absolutely click on forgotten password and bump that imposter off! I’m having the same with my Gmail account. I get emails from the same Just Joined name but an American lady. I’ve emailed each and every one back to tell them to tell her to stop using my email address! Driving me crazy!

Yes. This shit happens to me all the time.

Couple of weeks ago I had returns to Next. Got there. Realised I'd forgotten my card (to answer pp Next and h&m are the only retailers I have found that either check the card it is being refunded back to, or decline the refund on the new card - I had a fight with Next once when I had been issued a new card between purchase and refund - they were a nightmare to deal with over it!!) so went back home for it. Teenage son took ages to find it (he'd been to the shop for me thr day before and as always - not put the bloody card back!).
Got back to Next. Guess what? Reciept wasn't in the bloody bag where I was sure I'd put it for the return.
Go home again. Find receipt in my filing system (a.k.a bedroom drawers).
Go back. Do refund. Phew. Notice nice tshirts for the other half. Think they would be a good father's day present. Not sure what best size will be so get the two different designs in XL as most likely size. Get one in XXL just in case so he can wear at least one on FD.
Get home to wrap them. Guess what? The two I'd bought in XL - one was XXXL on the wrong hanger. Ffs.
So I ended up giving him one XL and one XXL for FD. XXL was the better fit. So I return the XXXL and XL. But no XXL in the other design in stock. Arghhhh! Ordered it. Finally got the right one. With far too many visits to Next in the interim!!

Just showed up at the wholesalers to find a note on the door saying the customer service desk is closed until 12th July.

  1. I wouldn't have done that drive. Tell Matalan they can collect the duplicate order/ send a returns bag.
  1. Id have told them that your card had been stolen so asked them to find a solution.
  1. Do you have your bank's mobile app? You can normally block /request replacement cards on there.

2 and 5 have absolutely happened to me!

I emailed matalan and got the most useless response - i will take it higher but u only get 14 days for a refund and we went away the day after delivery.

Mobile app let me cancel mine but not order a new one! So annoying!!
