When you have purchased an item is there a way to see the original listing, specifically the item description?

I’ve bought something that I’m not happy with but I’d like to double check the description before complaining. There were several of the same item for sale so I could have missed that it has missing parts.

When I go to my purchase history I can only see the item photo and the price.

That's odd, OP. I've just checked my Ebay account for you, and I can see an old ad in my Purchase History - I needed to click on the description and price to make it come up, so maybe you just need to do that?

If you can't make it work, do a new search for the item, but tick the "Completed Listings" box. That will make it come up.
