What’s this on my wrist?

I was just cleaning when I felt a bruise like pain in my wrist (I think I was knocking my wrist with the scrubbing brush)
Looked and it’s swollen and looks purple underneath.

What have I done? Burst a vein or something?
It’s only painful when I touch it.

Can anyone help oh wise mumsnet ters?

Looks like a big old bruise. Draw a line round it just to check it doesn't get bigger and have a nice tea and sit down

You've knocked it and burst some blood vessels. I did it once changing a bed sheet. Housework is really bad for you!

That bit of your arm is quite vulnerable if you knock it and it can look quite alarming.
