Ideas for a mini seaside break

I’m trying to book a last minute mini break somewhere in the UK, it’s much needed. I’d love somewhere near the sea but open to other suggestions too. We don’t have a car at the moment so it’s likely we would need to be able to get there on a coach or train. We’re based in the midlands.

I’m considering Torquay/Babbacombe, has anyone been? or any other places you’d suggest.

Hopeful bump

Brixham is nice. It’s a bus journey from Torquay. Brighton is lovely too. Canterbury in Kent isn’t by the sea but it’s really, really close and a nice place to visit.

Teignmouth is just up the coast from Torquay and nicer in my opinion. It’s on the trainline.

Hunstanton. Train to King’s Lynn, bus/taxi after that.

Broadstairs is lovely and has train station

Whitby
