Restaurant in Chester

Randomuser9876 · 30/06/2021 14:50

We're staying overnight in Chester in a couple of weeks and wanted somewhere nice to eat in the evening....i don't know it at all.

I wanted something smartish but it'll be with the kids (8&11) so has to be appropriate for them too.

Any recommendations gratefully received!

No idea re restaurant but popping in to say do take the children to crockyland, if you have a spare couple of daytime hours. It is mad fun!

Chez Jules, Sergios, Bollicini. Family friendly but you feel like you’ve been somewhere a bit smarter than a chain. La Fattoria slightly more casual but very good food.
Loads of chain restaurants. A couple of posh ones.

What sort of thing are you looking for?

Hickorys by the river. hickorys.co.uk/venue/chester/ it's a chain now but that's the original one and they're all absolutely amazing

La fattoria - amazing food and very family friendly/relaxed atmosphere

The Architect
The White Horse
Hickory's

Another vote for LaFattoria Smile

Thanks all!!

I like the look of Bollicini and The Architect.

I'm looking for somewhere smart as will have been camping the week before so want to feel nice!! Kids at an age where they behave nicely but The Grovesner food (sp??) would be wasted.

We're staying centrally if that's a factor.

Haven't been for a while but the White Horse at the racecourse was always nice. Smart, good food but welcoming for families.
