DD was 7 in May, she asked for a skateboard but we thought she'd better try it out so we went to a tuition night at a local skate park where they lend out skateboards. She did brilliantly and wants her own now. The tuition nights are only in term time (and not very often) so she'll need one to use if we want to go out over the summer.
The tutors said she'd want a 775 or 8??? no idea what I'm looking for at all!
I will get her a more funky helmet (not her bike helmet) and pads too.
What's a good entry level type setup? Am I OK to get second hand on ebay or would that not be safe?
DS is 9 and not that interested in skateboards but has a new bike, though it's a 24" Islabike not a BMX or anything. There are a couple of outdoor skate parks we can go to over the holidays - is there anything I can get him that's really cheap and we won't be annoyed if he won't even try (he has dyspraxia)? We still have DD/his old Mini Micro scooter but I think that's much too small now.
