eBay - WIBU to wait for funds to clear before posting?

It's my first sale since eBay changed from PayPal to direct bank payments.

Sold an item last night (£££). eBay app tells me that the buyer has paid but the money isn't yet in my account.

If I post the item today, without the money being in my bank, that seems slightly risky?

Or am I being over cautious?

I think you have to post it and put the tracking in to eBay for them to release the funds under the new system. So you will never get the funds until you post it!

That’s not true. E bay do pay you but they hang onto the money for a few days . Even when they say they have paid out it takes hours to arrive . I think you can alter your posting times .

What do you have your payout schedule set to? I think you can do it weekly or next day. I've never had a problem with the funds clearing but if its set to next day you could hang on just to be sure.

I don't know how the payment system works, but if you delay sending it would it get there on time? I generally expect things to arrive on or before the day I've been told they will.

If you go on the eBay app, then click on payments, you can see your transactions. It will usually tell you when the payout to your bank is scheduled.

Ebay listing will also tell you the expected delivery date OP.

Once it appears in your "paid - despatch now" section you have to post it. You'll get the money a few days later.
