What furniture style do I like?

We have moved into a rental for a year and for the first time ever I don't have internal storage so need to buy stuff like chest of drawers (one set of wardrobes built in)

I have no idea what style I like! I love seeing all the 70s style current stuff I've seen in friend's houses it worry it needs to look put together and also not sure if I'm just impressed by the cleanliness of said houses I visit.

I'm finding it hard as this isn't a long term house so not sure how things will work in future places.

I'm also unsure whether to get ikea stuff or more long term oak furniture land type items. I'm really clueless at interior design but love other people's ideas!

The only thing I don't like is mirrored furniture and probably black furniture too.

Please MN inspire me!

I would honestly buy second hand and try to keep a general colour theme room to room.
That way you can get quality ( and sometimes beautiful) furniture much cheaper and you've not paid out a fortune if it isn't suitable when you move.

I would recommend looking on Instagram home accounts for inspiration. Just search #drawers or #bedroom etc You can see lots of houses and will soon get an idea of what you like.
I'd also have a look on Facebook marketplace if you want older style furniture. I've picked up drawers and blanket boxes really cheaply and they have lots of character.
