Laptop choice for 16 year old

Hi, what sort of price / spec laptop should I aim at for my 16 year old daughter please? It's for Office stuff for her college course (Btec Business studies) and then just Netflix and Spotify etc. No games.

I don't want to go too cheap or too waste money. Thanks

I think that for a significant purchase like this it makes sense to do some research. There are a lot of good reviews online.

Mine started with Lenovo but now has a Macbook Air.

The Lenovo was fine but I wish I had saved the money and gone straight to a Macbook. Stays charged all day at school and is quicker than the Lenovo.

Only if it's in your budget obviously and also get good insurance.

If you get a Macbook definitely splurge on Applecare Plus for it.

I've always had good luck with Dell laptops. I buy them directly on the Dell website and get the extended warranty with accidental damage coverage. That saved us one time when DS stepped on his laptop and cracked the screen.
