Xand van Tulleken, who I've chatted to for about 2 years on Twitter, we bonded over politics and squirrels, quote retweeted me this morning. I feel like I've arrived.

Jamie Oliver did not send you a book. His PR team did. Almost all of these big celeb accounts are run by social teams. I work with a lot of them……

That’s the right attitude. However it happened, it was a nice thing and made you happy.

And Jamie may well have known about it. I said earlier that I’m followed by someone with a lot of followers but doesn’t follow many people himself. His ‘people’ 😬 contacted me and I actually am in contact with the actual person. So it’s not always only the PR teams.

It just feels a bit sad hearing people clapping for crumbs from a ‘celeb’…they’re just people. And the bigger celebs don’t run their accounts as I say. They usually will have private Twitter and Insta accounts they look at themselves and their social teams will manage their account, throw crumbs and keep the PR up…..

Of course they’re just people. But you don’t need to piss on anyone’s chips. It doesn’t sound like anyone here takes it too seriously.

On Facebook I got into a bit of an argument with Jason Manford about Jimmy Carr not paying taxes. I knew I won when he told me he was "Just playing devil's advocate."
On Instagram I am followed by Michael Harney (he played Corrections Officer Sam O'Neil in OITNB amongst other things) he usually reacts or comments on my posts about parenting.

Odd that you read the thread like that. It looks fairly tongue in cheek to me on the whole.

At that point (4 years ago) he did have twitter. Sorry if that derails what you think is a "gotcha" post

It must’ve been someone else or a fake account. I’ve been a fan for longer than that and know he hasn’t been on social media at all in all that time, and he’s quite open in saying so.
