Xand van Tulleken, who I've chatted to for about 2 years on Twitter, we bonded over politics and squirrels, quote retweeted me this morning. I feel like I've arrived.

He follows me too. I didn't even notice until my brother pointed it out to me. My brother is fairly cool in his own right and knows quite a few famous people, but Barack follows me and not him

I’m followed by Andrew WK even though I’m not a party girl and I’m not sure how that happened. I’ve also had tweet interactions with Jennifer Hale and Gideon Emery although they’re a little niche in terms of celebrity. And I picked up a few followers through Jason Manford retweeting a gentle trolling tweet I sent him about a ghost in his house.

I think my favourite claim to fame is that I played Words With Friends against Dita Von Teese. I won.

Not Twitter, but a few months ago I was checking my story views/viewers on Instagram and I saw Seal on there 🤣checked out the page and it’s his real one. Just really random, I only have 300 odd followed and most of my posts are toddler ones, food, sunsets..how did he get to be looking at my stories that day 😂

I joined Twitter very early on when it was new, and Stephen Fry followed me .....I am unreasonably proud 😄

@ScribblyBaller there are about 200 million Twitter users, so I think the odds are still in my favour!

I got blocked by comedian Reginald D Hunter! Have no idea of my crime. I have only tweeted a handful of times in my life - pretty innocuous stuff and think my only interaction with him was to 'like' some of his tweets. It still puzzles me!

I too have been retweeted by the lovely Dr Xand. Also followed by many Scottish musicians of the 80s and 90s.

I haven't used twitter for about a hundred years, but was chuffed when Reece Shearsmith and Paul Chahidi (the adorable vicar in This Country) replied to my tweets about Inside No. 9 and Twelfth Night, respectively.

Gavin Rossdale followed me for over a year because I tweeted about one of his acts on the Voice ONCE, he must have been going through and following every person...but God knows why he stuck around for so long afterwards!

Edwyn Collins replied to one of my tweets once. I love him so much 😭

Oooh I had a reply from Simon Pegg years ago, when he still used Twitter. And once I said I loved Sophie Robinson’s skirt when she was on interior design masters and she told me herself where it was from - I hadn’t tagged her or anything, so she must have alerts for her name…

David Baddiel replied to me once when I said how much one of my sons had loved his book (he really did - it was Animalcolm if you’re interested) and Caitlin Moran replied to me once and I love her writing so that was thrilling!
Oh and I told Claire North how much I had loved her book too and she said thank you.
I don’t know why I’m surprised that people say thank you when you send a friendly message but I always am.
