Toddler out of bed every 30 seconds..

Oh I wish I was joking 🙃

For context, Dc2 is autistic and non verbal just turned 3 years old.

In the past 2 weeks DC2 has figured out how to climb out of his cot.

So we took a side panel off to make it into an open toddler bed, and put a playpen around that instead. Playpen was slightly taller.

We have stairgates ect.

Nope, he's figured that all out and is up and running about for approximately 4-5 hours a night.
He can climb over anything!
He is out of bed so often! It is truly exhausting us.

Any tips or advice very very gratefully appreciated!

Jeez I remember those days . Found him sitting on the landing swinging his legs through the stair rails . The gates did stop him until he could no
longer be contained and loved coming back downstairs .
Maybe get a dog to bark when he leaves his room .☺
I used to send him back to his room when he left his room , but made sure he was safe to muck about in his room . Pick him up off the floor when he'd fallen asleep and into bed .
Other than that grin and bear it .
