Should I already bought school uniform for starting primary in September

On the whatsapp group, seems like everyone got it.

Do you have to get things like jumpers from the school directly?

A lot of people do buy them early. If I leave it until the last week of August it is very difficult to get the size and colour I need and I think that is the same for most people

Jumpers and polo come from school supplier online but they send to home address.

I was going to get one each of the logos and a couple of supermarket plain ones as spares.

Supermarkets/M&S are empty by August. Buy now!

If its reception. People buy much earlier as they are excited by year 6 more sense of doom so avoid till later🤣

Ds starts school in August, I've started to get some stuff in but shoes I'll be leaving till nearer the time

There's usually 25% off offer weeks between now and August... thats the week I buy!

M&S have their sale the 6th of July. Hanf on in there. 😊 id get the logo stuff from the uniform shop soon though.

Buying in July this year. The school stockists have warned their stock is low as container ships are still out of kilter. Already got the supermarket stuff but don’t want to be caught out in August for the school branded kit. I’ll get shoes a little later.

Just ordered DS13 a new blazer as he’s had a major growth spurt and the current one is ripped in all sorts of places. Also ordered his shoes. He is between sizes so I know they will be fine. He is autistic and only wears certain ones so I can’t risk them being sold out come august.

I ordered all mine for my two last week from Asda as if I leave until summer holidays I can't get the sizes I need, both mine need longer length trousers, plus it's nice to know it's all done. We only have shoes and bags to get and even that can be tricky on getting a good choice but can't risk buying now incase of growth spurt

I have for my son (starting reception) because the website said to order before end of June to guarantee delivery before September and of course it arrived immediately 😂 I would have waited longer if I’d known.

I ordered dd 8 as she’s just had a growth spurt I was confident to get her next size up. Had to get different skirts than usual as her size were sold out as were many other things already. That was asda.

Have you looked at Asda online? They do long length and plus sizes
