Two per item

One easily seen and one hidden

Fitforforty · 28/06/2021 13:28

For clothes I prefer a stamp. I use stamptastic.

mommybear1 · 28/06/2021 13:51

@Fitforforty I'm thinking of using those are they any good for shoes/pe pumps?

Best place to buy or to apply?

Stikins are good.

Sirzy · 28/06/2021 13:54

Nametags4u are brilliant.

I get a sheet every year and label everything going near school

Im still in a sticker inside shoes and stamp on that. I cut a circle sticker in half and put a half each shoe and the DCs have to match up the semi circles to make a full circle to make sure their shoes are on the correct feet. I probably need to stop doing it DD1.

Deadleaf29 · 28/06/2021 14:01

Stik ins for anything hard or plastic or also clothing care labels. Good for water bottle, lunch box, wellies, shoes…

Stikins are brilliant.

top tip for things like stikins.

Put kids name on each label twice (so line 1 Alex Smith, Line 2 Alex Smith) - then you can just cut the label in half and have twice as many stickers :)

If you have two children and space allows, print both children's names or initials either side of your surname and then you can use the same label for both children and just cut off / fold (for woven sew-on labels) the irrelevant part, e.g

JAMES SMITH EVIE

L BROCKENHURST K

Have used Stikins for DS' entire primary school times and they've bene brilliant. Never come off.

SBAM · 10/07/2021 10:53

We’ve used Tinyme for labels for cups and bottles for little ones at nursery, several years of dishwashing later and they’re still perfect

AprilAzpilicueta · 10/07/2021 10:54

Stikins are amazing

theshadeofgreen · 10/07/2021 11:07

We like tinyme.
They're doing their letter of the day atm too so if your child's name begins with that letter it's reduced for the day (today is K I think I)

I use stamptastic stamps. I reuse some of our school items for my 3 kids so the jumpers are 4 or 5 years old now and the ink is still fresh looking. Added bonus is that our kids are the only ones with our surname so I just got one stamp with the surname on and all lost items are returned to any of my kids who match the age on the label. (Though DS and DD2 are two years apart but DD is teeny so she and her wee bother share clothes a lot.)
