Trained as a journalist, did that for a decade, now Comms/PR for local gov and have corporate experience too. Some days I love my job, some days exhausted by the bullshit. 50/50. Moved outside London and pay has halved.

What other jobs can I do that would be low stress/low bullshit, regular hours (no overtime) and pay at least £30k? Retraining is an option. I have a BA degree.

How about an internal comms role for a big company? Ours has a comms department for info going to the contact centre.

I second that for a big company in that field. I work at a large insurer and we have some jobs like this going and I’m that salary band.

Sorry I meant in that salary band. You’l come with a great base of experience from tori background. Good luck.

Thanks all. Sounds like a big corporate is the way to go and perhaps a bit knee-jerk to throw in the towel when I still enjoy it half the time 🤔 the issue is probably sector.
