Hear me out... there are loads of heartbreaking, soul searching beautiful ballads out there I know. However, just listening to 'She makes my day' by Robert Palmer and it is so genuine, happy and feels like that stage of love where you wander around with a big cheesy grin on your face. It never fails to make my day to hear it it is such a simple sentiment and expression of love- it's amazing!

It's not sultry or sexy and doesn't have the melancholy of lost love songs, but just such a romantic song. Am I wrong?!

All romantic songs like that make me feel a bit ill, to be totally honest. But then it’s not my style of music. At all. And I’m not a schmaltzy person. I get why people think they’re nice.

But some ‘romantic’ songs are just creepy. The Aerosmith one- the one about watching the person sleep- yuckkkkkk

Ha, I wouldn't say it was my normal style of music at all, but heard it for the first time in years on some old TOTP and it just seemed joyful!

but I used to sing the Aerosmith one to my kids so probably that's why I have the association
