Pfizer vaccine first day of period

Sorry I know this has been done to death but I can't find anything that's similar to what's happened to me so thought I'd make a new post!

Has anyone else had the Pfizer vaccine on the first day of their period? If so, have you found that your period has been ridiculous!?

I had the vaccine at the very start of my period and my god its been ridiculous. Over a week of heavy bleeding and flooding! I have a copper coil which I've had for ages, my periods normally last just over a week but only 2 days of that is heavy bleeding/flooding the rest is very light/spotting. I'm currently on day 8 of heavy bleeding and flooding!

Anybody else?

I had the Astra Zeneca (2nd dose) two days before my period was due.
I normally have a fairly light flow lasting 3-4 days but omg this was the period from hell - I have never experienced one like it.
Cramps, constant headache bordering on a migraine that painkillers did not touch, and flooding for days.
Definitely not a coincidence.

I’m bleeding after having a baby, it had nearly finished then post vaccine it ramped up again. I did have a day of diarrhea afterwards though so maybe it was stomach cramps from that that increased the bleeding in my case

I had it on my second day last month, felt totally fine, just tired. Felt great actually.

Had my usual period this month, expected it to be dire based on what I’ve heard - lighter and less painful than normal.

I've had no illness or any of the other widely reported effects it's just this bloody bleeding! (see whatbi did there lol)

Out of interest how can the vaccine affect the period you're already having? I can understand it affecting subsequent cycles, but your womb lining is already shedding at that point, so how could the vaccine make it heavier? Surely the amount of lining present is the same regardless of vaccine.

I can see how it would affect ovulation and therefore your NEXT period, but I'm fairly sure this is just a coincidence.

Definitely not a coincidence for me.
I have never ever ever had a period like the one I had two days after getting my Covid jab.
I have never bled that heavy for so long or had the horrendous cramps or headache.

I had the vaccine on day 3 and to be honest it stayed the same... Maybe even slightly lighter. I am apprehensive about next month though. However saying that, I will try to plan and have my 2nd vaccine at a similar time in my cycle again so I'll be interested (bricking it) to see what happens! Hope you feel better soon and things get back to normal quickly for you!
