So looking forward to my forthcoming trip to Bowness-on-Windermere and wondered if someone could please recommend me a nice place for Sunday lunch .

Second vote for the Albert 🥰 I once had a ploughmans smorgasbord there that was quite unlike anything I had ever seen before 😂

Oh and if you get chance and don't mind a bit of a walk the Lamplighter up in Windermere is amazing for food. But more pricey and a bit "posh and fancy" but well worth a visit.

Porto is somewhere we always go back to in Bowness.

Love the Albert. Lovely food, lovely staff, lovely atmosphere...... And the prices arent ridiculous either.

Also the wild boar is always worth a look.
