Stomach Bug Gone Round the House

So, I’m an Emetophobe and literally cannot stand being sick. In the last week my two boys (4 and 2) both came down with it and were vomiting overnight and virtually recovered with 32 hours.

Then my wife had the same yesterday vomiting and felt awful but seems much better today. Yesterday I (sorry for detail) has loose stool in the morning, took an Imodium so I could function looking after the boys and this morning also had very watery diarrhoea.

My question is, do you think this is all I will get or after 24-32 hours (which it has been) could this deteriorate? I feel fine aside from some cramps and diarrhoea I just worry this could still progress to vomiting!

Thanks I’m advance

We've had bugs in the house where not all of us have had it. Quite often the dc have it and the adults escape it. Keep the windows open, clean bathrooms and touch points, wash bedding and towels often and make sure you keep hydrated.

I'm an emetophobe and also nearly always avoided the vomiting side of family stomach bugs whenvthw children were little (just by sheer willpower I suppose) and just had to put up with the diahorrea.

Thanks both, I just worry that it’ll progress further but I know these things only tend to last a few days so will likely be over it tomorrow anyway

Sounds like you're at the tail end of it anyway OP.

Get the dettol or bleach out and thoroughly clean door handles, toilet, sinks and light switches etc. Done at the first sign of someone coming down with it this can make a real difference.

Stay hydrated, eat light easy to digest small meals. Eg chicken and rice, banana, electrolyte drinks. Immodium isn't always recommended for a stomach bug so I would only use in this instance if I literally had somewhere to be say, it needs to run it's course.

It will pass OP, hang in there.
