Under current Government guidance can a party for 28+ children and mostly an adult per child go ahead? It can’t can it?

I've completely lost tract (not having dc that age) but it seems to completely undo all the hard work schools and Nurseries have had to put into doing things like keeping children in bubbles / not mixing staff / not letting parents into schools.
So, why would you ?

Inside is the rule of 6 still, I think, so you can't have it inside.
Even if you tried to count it as a "significant life event" and I think you'd be pushing that to extremes then that's limited to 30 I think.

But I think you'll struggle to find a venue that will take you if you're trying to book somewhere. Places round here are just not booking children's parties at all in the near future, even after the July date, as the chance of them going ahead is too small.

If you have a massive garden you might get away with it there.

No.
28 children leaving you two adults supervising in an oudoor location like an open sided marquee.
The maximum is still 30 outdoors.

ChocolateRiver · 26/06/2021 07:07

No the rule is 30 in total. So it would have to be drop off only with 2 adults supervising. My dd isn’t going to a party this weekend because the parents are totally not sticking to these rules. They’ve got lots more going than 30, but don’t seem to care. They just say their garden is big.

More restrictions haven’t come into place I don’t think? Just the 21 June easing didn’t go ahead? If that’s the case then it’s 30 people outdoors, we had a class party on 29 May and it was amazing after so long!!! Grin do it!

Terrazzo · 26/06/2021 07:12

You can safely assume that about 5-10 kids won’t come though. So if you’ve got a 28 person class, assume 24 and you can have 6 adults. We have a 24 child class, about 18 came and we had 4 adults and a few out of school friends. Was fab!

30 outside unless it's to watch football 😡

Florin · 26/06/2021 07:38

It’s up to 30 in your garden. We had our child’s party in our garden last weekend. Ended up with 20 kids and 3 adults running it. We normally invite a few non school friends too but decided it was best kept to his class bubble.
