Anyone taken an Avanti train recently?

I’m trying to book train tickets to London with my DS for later this year but they’re only offering me seats apart. All of the seats are window seats so I’m assuming they’re not booking people in the aisle seats to aid social distancing.

He’s 8 so I don’t mind him sitting alone near me but am worried he’d annoy another person if they plonked him next to them.

It's just for social distancing, you're allowed to have your child next to you when you travel 👍

Yes recently went from Birmingham to London & only window seats are reserved, so there will be a seat available next to yours anyway. There were lots of available seats on our trains so it didn't matter where we sat.

Plenty of space three weeks ago and only window seats booked.
