Solo birthday celebration ideas?

So it's coming up soon and there's a very good chance I'm going to spend my birthday on my own 😞 It's a weekday and I'm off work that day.

I have family but they all live too far away to meet up with and my friends are all working, including in the evening (so we can't go out after work). I'm also single so no partner to hang out with.

I'm planning to try and do something the weekend before/after but I will still know that the actual 'real' day is in the week and I want to try and do something nice just for me to celebrate it. I don't have a lot of money but does anyone have any suggestions? 😊

How about a day of simple indulgences…

Long lie.
Coffee and pastry for breakfast in a local artisan bakery with a book.
Walk around a local beauty spot or beach/take a sandwich.
Favourite dinner for one… seafood or steak for me!
Long bath, face mask and moisturise.
Clean bedding to sink into.
Bliss Smile

Happy birthday for a few weeks time!

Why not look for a good groupon offer at a
Local spa. There are lots of websites that offer special deals.

Also like the previous idea too!

I was on my own last birthday too. I went for a bike ride in the morning, picked up a nice lunch then watched a film whilst eating it.

I've recently seen an advert for a new seafood place right on the beach, reasonably near me! I'd love to go there and spend the day by the sea and eating tasty seafood 😁😍

Darn it, the seafood place will be shut on my birthday as it's only open on the weekends!

I did ask my boss if she wanted to do something with me on the day but unfortunately it's her son's birthday the same day so she'll be celebrating with him instead.

However, none of this matters as much now because I found out my beloved DSis who I haven't seen in months is coming to see me for the weekend! That's better than everything as she's my best friend and I miss her terribly 😊 I don't even care it won't be the actual day, I'll just mentally shift my birthday by 2 days 😂

Now I just have to think of some fun activities for us!

Whereabouts do you live? If it were me and the weather was half way good, I’d go to the Lido with a book.

Great news about your sister

Pick things that you like to do. Maybe make a nice coffee in the morning, go for a nice wee wander in the morning. Read a book or magazine you like. I'd probably go to M&S or something and get a special picnic if it's a nice day.

Well the seafood place obviously! Have a lovely time celebrating with your sister.

Same as me. My birthday is soon my daughter will be at school, my partner in wok, my sister on holidays, my dad working away and my mam will probably be in work too. I think I might just actually go for a walk somewhere nice for a few hours before dinner. Going to follow for some suggestions.
