Phonics song to spell numbers

Ds has to spell out his numbers 1-10 in a spelling test.

Despite me trying really hard with him, he gets them right one day, wrong the next and then ones he did get right he gets wrong.

He managed to score just 4/10 on his test so his group has to do it again.

He likes music. So I’ve been searching for songs that might help but all I can find are songs that speak the word of the name not the sound. So Tee for T instead of Tuh.

Anyone got any help?

sorry, just realised you need phonics

Ideally yes as he’s in year 1 and it’s all about the phonics there. Obviously if there isn’t anything else, then that will be fine. Thank you for looking anyway

Unfortunately lots of number words can't be segmented using phonics (reading using sounds) which is why they are difficult to learn for young children. They just have to memorise the spellings I'm afraid. If it makes you feel any better I'm a year one teacher and lots of my children can't spell the number words to ten.

Make it’s worth going through with him pointing out which words he can use his phonics knowledge for and which ones he needs to learn.
I’m sure the PP can help but I’m thinking three, four, five (as long as he knows magic E), six, seven, nine and ten he should be able to work out and the rest he will need to learn by rote.
