I'm really bad at interviews

I have had a couple of interviews recently, they have both been just telephone interviews with really kind and friendly interviewers.

At the start of the call I'm fine, relaxed and can speak clearly. However, as soon as the first question is asked something just happens to me. I start speaking really quickly and in really disjointed sentences that don't flow and don't make sense. I can't connect with my thoughts at all, it's like I'm on fight or flight and my brain is completely disengaged. Even when I have notes in front of me, I really struggle. It feels like time speeds up.

This even happens when I'm practicing answering interview questions with friends or family, my mind goes completely blank. I think I somehow view interview questions as threatening or invasive or something. It's really bizarre. Even when sitting alone if I try and say an interview answer out loud I struggle and my mind goes blank. I can type a response but can't say it.

Does anyone have any advice?
