Wetsuits size 20/22 - where did you get yours?

Right, I’m not sitting out of water activities just cos I didn’t lose several stone before the summer. Again.

With limited opportunity for trying on in real shops, please tell me about your wetsuits for tall women size 20-22. Shortie probably best, can’t really spend over £50…

I got an xxxl men’s Cressi shortie. The buoyancy on a men’s wetsuit is slightly different but it was the best I could do.

www.twobarefeet.co.uk/

Decent quality, good price and go up to 20/22

converseandjeans · 24/06/2021 16:51

I bought one from Decathlon - probably more 16/18 and I got the 2XL. It's not great quality but just about fits!

Loyaultemelie · 24/06/2021 16:55

I've just ordered one from Big Orange Watersports (also a shorty) I ordered a 20 but I suspect I will be exchanging for a 22 when it comes I've probably been optimistic BlushThey are great about size help though

Amazon

Mountain Warehouse has them in for women in a variety of sizes. They sell out quick but seem to restock regularly.

PuffinMcHuffin · 24/06/2021 17:05

Try sportpursuit - you have to sign up and they do send daily email deals but their prices are second to none.

I actually just looked, can you get away with a triathlon suit? They have those in stock for under 50 pounds - not sure if that will be warm enough for what you want it for though.

StroppyTop · 24/06/2021 17:11

Thanks everyone.

I don’t know what a triathlon suit is but I will find out.

Decathlon are good in theory but do tend to be on the teeny French side of sizing.

Lots out of stock everywhere which isn’t helping.

Will check out other places you’ve suggested 🤞

@PuffinMcHuffin Just discovered that triathlon suits have pockets for snacks Grin

In stock at the moment in 20/22

Spudlet · 24/06/2021 17:17

I haven’t ever bought a wetsuit, but I can certainly second the recommendation for Sport Pursuit - I always get bargains there.

Bookaholic73 · 24/06/2021 17:18

I’m a size 18 and got one from Sports Direct.
Stock was lower than smaller sizes, but I didn’t have a problem.

PuffinMcHuffin · 24/06/2021 17:20

Triathlon suit - much thinner material, no buoyancy issues, very quick drying - more like a shaped swimsuit that covers thighs and arms (some times arms).

PuffinMcHuffin · 24/06/2021 17:21

@StroppyTop Yes, yes they do! (Don't put your phone in one and then jump in somewhere wild swimming though Sad

StroppyTop · 24/06/2021 17:33

Agh! Bought a CIC one from Big Orange @Loyaultemelie

I may come back and update but I will NOT be posting any pics.

Never heard of Sport Pursuit but I love it!

@PuffinMcHuffin Sounds like experience talking there Smile

Thank you all for helping me face the fear and do it anyway.
