Thinking of buying for my son ( late 20s ) .Peloton is v pricey for what would be an experiment ..would he use it!

Any advice out there ? In particular is it noisy ? Would it be disturbing for people in the room below ?

Many thanks in advance .

Is he big into biking? Will he use it often, if you're not sure go for a standard spin bike and he can watch YouTube video classes and then he can always upgrade in the future to a peloton

They are so expensive. I bought a second hand spin bike off eBay for £200 and just do my own workout with headphones and music. It does the same job for a fraction of the price.

I’ve got one and absolutely love it, ride every day and my fitness has improved massively. It has legit changed my life; I’ve gone from pretty much sedentary to exercising every day, I’ve lost a few stone and my stamina is incredible. I feel like I’m 20 again! I thought about getting a second hand spin bike and upgrading later if I liked it but reasoned that if I eventually upgraded the money I spent on the second hand bike would have been wasted.

You can return within 30 day no questions asked but hardly anyone returns the bike (I think about 92% keep it) so from that perspective it’s risk free.

It’s near enough silent; I ride either 5am or 9pm when kids are asleep. The fact I get up at 5am to ride is amazing in itself because I loves my sleep. The only noise is a fairly loud clack with you clip in and out but I don’t think this would be loud enough to bother the neighbours and is only for a second anyway.

It is very expensive so you’d have to be pretty sure it wasn’t a flash in the pan and only used for 6 months then abandoned. Even then they have excellent resale value. I have a referral code for £100 off if you want to use it JTQRX8 Wink
