How can I be taken seriously re early meno

I'm 32. I have the Mirena, 3 years with monthly periods then 6 months ago they stopped. I put it down to the Mirena.
I have started with hot flashes, I feel quite sick during them. I have stated with regular headaches similar to those I experienced during pregnancy. Struggling to sleep and night sweats. I know it's summer but its not a case of being too hot because of the weather.

I don't feel at 32 I will be taken seriously if I go to my gp with this. Part of me thinks I'm over egging symptoms and its just coincidence.

I'm worried because we are going to ttc dc3 next year. I have 2 young children and would love more.

Has anyone experienced this and can advise.

Thanks

To be fair it could be the mirena causing the weird symptoms as it is a hormonal contraceptive. You could have it removed and see if the symptoms improve. Or maybe you are pregnant, have you taken a test?

Yes maybe it is the Mirena. I have thought about that. I really like it as a contraception because I'm useless at remembering to take pills. So until we are ready to ttc I'm reluctant to get it removed.

I definitely don't think I'm pregnant. I usually know straight away and was massive early on with my dd2. I suppose its worth a test. I know you technically can get pregnant the coil but I think its very unlikely.

Thanks for the reply I might get a test today.

I think you can have a blood test to check hormone levels to rule this out, may be worth asking your GP.

My periods stopped without trace two years ago, I went to the gp and explained that and the fact that I had been having hot flushes, they arranged the blood test no problem. You have to have two tests done around 4 weeks apart. Good luck!
