An Australian children's programme from the eighties -"Halfway across the galaxy and turn left". I'd love to see it again

I've just finished watching Raised By Wolves (NOT the Caitlin Moran sitcom) Really weird but engrossing Sci-fi series with Travis Fimmel as a sort of futuristic Ragnar Lothbrok (his character from Vikings!). Sci-fi is not normally by bag but this caught my imagination. The theme tune is also beautiful and spine tingling.
