Rental doesn’t have a bath! Would this be an issue for you?

We’re trying to find a rental for our young family (DC 6 & 4). Will be staying there for 12-18 months whilst we look to buy. Found potentially a great place - ticks most boxes - but has two showers, no baths. DC do love a bath and enjoy playing in it. We have doting grandparents local ish so they could have a weekly bath if they really wanted Grin Just wondering if we will regret lack of bath. Forms so much of our bedtime routine, seems strange not to have it. Thoughts?

My 3 year old tends to shower so not a deal breaker for me with those age children- unless you’re planning another baby whilst in the rental then I’d cope fine. Can’t remember the last time OH or I had a bath and not a shower.
A bath at grandparents sounds fine too

A 3 year old who showers seems very grown up to me. We clearly need to get them showering! It’s presumably much quicker and of course much better for environment… no more DC planned and DH and I don’t have baths so I guess weekly grandparental bath treat it is haha ;)

I've seen people put small paddling pools in showers, instant bath! If you make sure it's one with a plug you can empty it easily as the water will just run down the shower drain.

Well stands on the bath mat and we hose her down - around 2 she kicked off in the bath hating them so she got used to the shower. Has about 2 baths a wk- and the other 5 nights a shower. The routine you have is washing time; I wouldn’t overly worry about it becoming a shower.

The flat we lived in when dd was a baby till age 3 only had a shower, it was never an issue. We had grandparents close too. The house we moved too had a bath and I was obsessed for months I had forgotten how much I loved a bath. I still do Grin

Weekly bath at grandparents sounds like a really good substitute! You will quickly adapt to the showers I'm sure. And the comment up thread about putting a little paddling pool sounds worth a try!

I would only live in a property without a bath if i truly had no choice and it was my last option
