Does anyone know of any policy that covers having to cancel a UK holiday because of a child in the family being told to self-isolate by the school?
We are going on holiday in the UK the day after school breaks up, so if there are any cases in DS's year during the ten days prior we are shafted. Yes, I should have thought about that when we booked. Currently two year groups are self isolating and I can see this back and forwards going on until the end of term.
I have travel insurance with my bank account so don't normally think about it, but it doesn't look like it covers cancellation due to self isolation as a contact. I have looked at policies but where they mention self isolation it is if a family member has been told to self-isolate through Track and Trace, not by a school so I don't know if that would be covered.
It is a cottage holiday and we would lose about £1,400 if had to cancel at last minute. Has anyone taken out a policy on this and if so who did you use?
