Adhesions following c section...

Has anyone been diagnosed as having adhesions following a c section? If so, what were your symptoms and how were they diagnosed.

Just curious as I've been having ongoing pelvic pain and bloating since my c section 2 years ago. It was my second section and they were in there a few hours as I haemorrhaged. I know they did some extra cuts and also put an extra drain in (the wrong place).

However, my pain has some cyclical element as ovulation does seem to be a trigger and I also get terrible breast pain. However, the bloating and pelvic pain has been present for about 18 days of this month. Also, when I'm bloated I need to wee more and sometimes get pressure in my bum and occasionally feel I can't empty my bowels properly.

I'm not asking anyone for a diagnosis. I'm waiting to see a gynaecologist.

Yes. My mum, 40 years after having me. She went to from fine to bowel resection I the space of 2 days.

(It was a crash section then haemorrhage with a really tatty scar).

Sounds like endometriosis

I've had adhesions. For me it was like a pulling pain that got worse with movement, such as walking. If you get cyclical bloating that could cause pulling of adhesions so could be one explanation.

The problem with adhesions is that unless you have surgery it's a diagnosis of exclusion I.e. if they can't find any other explanation for it.

Mine started 5 years after my surgery.

It sounds like endometriosis.

I have endometriosis and had a csection 1 year before the pain got really bad in my bowels around my period. I had a laparoscopy in September and they removed a lot of the endo and defused my uterus and bowel it’s helped massively.

Hi, just curious if you managed to get to the bottom of this?. I've got exactly the same symptoms and I'm waiting for investigations currently
