Looking to go soon. We have a DS3. Any recommendations for accomodation type please? We would like a lodge but unsure which one or area. The quieter the better!

Yes, just a few weeks ago! Would suggest a Heartwood in The Bluebells, they’re in the new area and tucked away at the back of the site. Really lovely. The Zen models and Vista lodges are in really busy area amongst the older caravans so not quiet, wouldn’t recommend them from what you’ve said.

The site is great and they’ve done so much with over the last few years, you’ll love it.

@ChloeR81
Ohh that's very useful thanks as I did look at the Vista but won't if it's not in the newer part. Any other ones you remember in the newer part? I read on a review that someone booked a Heartwood one but got one in the older area so perhaps I need to email once booked to make sure it's one in the newer bit!

@Hdujsjdjdbru you used to be able to pay a little extra to specify your pitch, not sure if still the case.

If you can afford it, the lodges on the escarpment overlooking the river are great.

We now stay at a nearby cottage as it's much cheaper, more space and we still get a pass to use the facilities. But I think the craft type activities for little ones can only be booked if you're staying on site.

If you have a look at the site map, The Bluebells, Tawny Wood and The Brambles area all used to be the campsite (like tent camping) until a few years ago so all this area and these cabins are new- new cabins, newly landscaped etc. I’d say you want this area, but The Bluebells is quietest, then gets busier as you move through Tawny Wood and The Brambles. All nice though and the 2 new play areas in that part of the site are lovely.

Field Way, Central Way, Woodling Crescent areas on the map are the older area but with some new caravans interspersed. Still nice but more tightly packed and not as new over all. We’ve stayed in a Vista before a few years ago and was lovely, but I preferred The bluebells.

Hopefully helpful!!

Great thanks so much. I've had a look at the map, it doesn't say the actual accomodation names in Bluebells which is a bit annoying but at least I know Heartwood is in there thanks.

I know, I always found that really annoying that they don’t show the accommodation types on the map! I’m sure they could tell you if you rang up.
