Tiny Playmobil accessories

Hello,

I've got loads of Playmobil that I bought in a bundle so I've got two bags worth of tiny accessories with it.

Do your children actually use the small bits? DS is coming up to 3 and like the Playmobil cars and larger bits but isn't interested in the tiny pieces. Is this something kids generally grow into or do they just live in a bag

My 5 year old loves the tiny bits. My 1 year old eats them, so they have to be carefully monitored, but is say keep hold for when he's older and his platy may get more intricate.

*I'd say

Age 3 is quite young for the main Playmobil (as opposed to Playmobil 123 which is designed for toddlers and doesn't have the tiny accessories). This is why the main Playmobil sets are recommended for age 4+.

My ds started playing with Playmobil aged 5 and loved all the tiny accessories. In fact the detail was one of the things he loved about it. So I'd say keep the accessories somewhere safe for when your ds is more interested. And maybe get some Playmobil 123 in the meantime, which is more designed for his age. Smile

My Dd is ten and still secretly loves her Playmobil. She loves the tiny bits.

My two (10 & 6) love the tiny bits. I've lost count the number of times I've found them playing restaurants or what have you and pretend to cut up a tiny plastic sausage with tiny fork and knife. Playmobil is a huge hit and all the minute accessories adds to it all.

But the youngest only from when he was about 3 as he used to put them in his mouth before that. He's just hold tiny little plastic things in his cheeks like a suicidal hamster.

I've got a 2yo and a 4.5yo and we just got given a load of Playmobil together with many tiny bits. 4.5yo loves the tiny bits. I would let her play with the big stuff now and put the tiny bits away for a year or so. There'll be time enough to fish them out of the back of the sofa!

My dc didn't play properly with Playmobil till they were about nine.

Omg they are the best bits!

I agree to put them away until DC is a bit older. At 3 they will just ignore them and they will get lost. But by 5/6 they will probably appreciate them loads more.
