A friend who was previously not religious recently met a man who calls himself a disciple of Jesus and is recruiting members to join the last reformation
He has YouTube videos online where he shares his ‘testimony’ and says how he’s a former criminal turned Christian
I hadn’t heard of the last reformation so just had a brief look and it appears to be an international con where it charges vulnerable people to be baptised and healed.
The leader of the movement is on the run from investigation for ‘curing’ autism in children by casting away their demons.
Has anyone heard of this movement before? Has anyone had a friend taken in by them?
I am worried for my friend and her husband but they are so steadfast on it that they seem to be closed to any possibility that it might be dodgy.
They say they will be getting baptised by this man soon and travelling far away to do it.
All I have mentioned is not to pay someone you don’t know as it will just carry on from there and some people have lost all their money to people like this, but as soon as I suggested there might be something wrong with that she didn’t mention anything else and I imagine will continue down this path until it’s possibly too late
They met him on one of these anti lockdown marches and that was enough of a red flag to me to send alarm bells ringing
What can I do to help my friend ?
