Hoover for pet hair

Looking for good hoover recommendations for a 4 bed house with pets. (Don’t want a battery that runs out half way round the house) we have a budget of about £250. Not fussed on make, just as long as it picks up pet hair, and little ‘bits’ we have a 9 month old and she picks up any spec of anything off the floor.
Thanks

Following as I'd love a decent vacuum to pick up the dog hair. Currently have an ancient Henry.

I've tried them all, Shark, Dyson and Hoover but the best I have found is a good old red Henry. Deals with my GSD hairs the best of them all
