Awake as usual! Woken up at 5/6am the last two mornings having awful panic attacks do I really hope it doesn't happen again tonight. Sad

Also struggling with my emetophobia anxiety tonight as my partner feels sick so I'm scared he'll start throwing up. Shock

What's keeping you up?

I woke when DH went out to work and the front door closed. Am enjoying the loveliness of my duvet and spreading out over the whole bed.

Silkiecats · 22/06/2021 04:01

Hello fellow night owls. I was up all last night (massive power cut and bad habits though enjoy it apart from power cuts and a spider landing on me last night) so slept in day so not tired now.

I hate sick bugs too. Sorry you are having panic attacks. I normally watch programmes on Netflix, Discovery or research things at night or do accounts or aerobics if DH isn't here.

Morning. I’ve been awake since 12.30. Yesterday I was up at 4am, in fact for the last week I’ve not slept.
I’ve just quit my job and having massive regrets. Thinking that this may be the wrong time. in the last 3 weeks I’ve received some very bad news regarding family members health and I’m worried this is a knee jerk reaction to it all. But also I’ve already handed in my notice so it’s too late to do anything now.
Basically my anxiety is completely crushing me right now.

Oh that is the best isn't it! Enjoy all the space and make sure to steal the whole duvet Wink

Gosh was it a big spider?Shock I had a false widow in my hair once Confused

Just finished watching the wolf of wall street for distraction and now fantasy shopping online at Farfetch Grin

Really hope we don't get a sick bug. He's asleep right now so seems fine. 99% of the time my nausea is related to anxiety so I try and not focus on that!

I'm sorry to hear you're having a hard time! Funnily enough I've taken sick leave from my (part time) job too this past week until end of august as I'm just overwhelmed with my online studies and coursework currently.

Had a breakdown on the phone to my boss Grin he was the one who suggested just coming back once I've finished!

I'm sure it'll all work out- if you're really feeling it was a bad decision would they take you back? Even on part time?

I am awake, but only because I have to leave at half five for work. The roads are quiet at thay time so the hour commute is actually quite pleasant!

ByThePool2021 · 22/06/2021 04:17

I’ve decided I’m going to ask at work today, not necessarily to stay but maybe take a 12 month career break (which is in my contract that I am able to take, should’ve thought it through first. Act in haste repent at leisure and all that). I’m certain my line manager will keep me on, it’s just weather hr and the company boss do.
Just a shame there’s no one to talk it through with at 1am. How selfish of them all lol x

TortolaParadise · 22/06/2021 04:17

Wolf of Wall Street = good film

Wilberforce42 · 22/06/2021 04:18

Stupid snoring husband and wide awake four year old grrrrrr

Silkiecats · 22/06/2021 04:28

The spider was about an inch, the 2 hour power cut ended which also cut internet and phones as well as lights, lights appeared thought yes then noticed a 1 inch spider heading down from the ceiling to me and then it landed on my back. DH had gone down to sleep with the cat as she was 16 and getting separation anxiety and not feeling especially tolerant after a 2 hour power cut and being landed on I got a glass and killed it. But now I have dead spider juice in the middle of our bed, yuck.

TortolaParadise · 22/06/2021 04:29

No point trying to sleep now as it is nearly 630 and time to face the world. Thank goodness for masks as they disguise the tiredness!!!

Silkiecats · 22/06/2021 04:29

I would ask them Pool if you don't ask you don't get. And yes some very selfish people around, DH and the cat were fast asleep at 2am when the spider landed. So inconsiderate.

TortolaParadise · 22/06/2021 04:30

spider juice lol

IAmDaveTheSerialShagger · 22/06/2021 04:36

Banging headache and can hear an Ambulance siren outside, oh and my 9 year old wakes as soon as it's light alongside the cockerel that never shuts up!

Never mind my older 2 are gaming, home from Uni and seem to be night owls!

Oh I am so sorry, can you not withdraw your notice giving the same explanation that you just wrote?
DeeDimer · 22/06/2021 04:40

I'm awake! Didn't sleep well then the cat decided he was close to starvation and the chihuahua needed a wee. I'm at work at 7 for a 12 hour shift (NHS) so it's going to be a long day.

Haha I laughed at your username and thought you must be a fellow nurse! I finished nights yesterday and slept during the day !
Dressingup · 22/06/2021 04:45

I’m up a mix of endometriosis and feeling awful from my vaccine currently got the air con on to help with my night sweats. Have taken a codine for my endo pain but I haven’t eaten anything so will probably feel sick but was in to much pain to eat bad cycle there

DeeDimer · 22/06/2021 05:02

@IAmDaveTheSerialShagger I hate changing from days to nights.
I'm sat here with my tea and biscuits contemplating another shift working short. Ugh!

TaraR2020 · 22/06/2021 05:44

Yup me too, brain won't switch off...Eyes closing when I crawled into bed and yet here I am sever hours later. Cat has now jumped up and sitting on my bladder while he delivers cupboard love in the hope of an early breakfast.

However, no work and no plans today except for housework so I'm not stressing about it, just mildly annoyed.

Flowers to all of you who need it in these not-so-wee-anymore hours
