How to get poo out of a carpet?

I have a toddler who has pooed all over lovely newish carpets. It's been scrubbed but still a stain. Any ideas???!

What have you tried so far?

Biological washing powder and warm water. Spot test it in a corner first to check it doesn't lift the dye.

Disinfectant spray and scrubbing

I would say you definitely need some kind of soap/ detergent to actually clean the carpet fibres.

Washing soap is a good bet

Vanish aerosol carpet cleaner (pink can) or Dr Beckman’s (white bottle with a blue brush attached)

Clear washing up liquid might help too, if there's grease in the stain then it will help to lift it.

Generally find washing up liquid goes a long way to lift stains that even stain removers can struggle with.

I use 1001 or a similar carpet cleaner, it's dealt with some pretty bad poo incidents! Clear up all you can first with a dry or slightly damp cloth then use the 1001 to get rid of remaining marks

I’ve yet to find something Beckhamms (white bottle blue scrub bit) doesn’t shift - admittedly not tried poo but have with lots of other stubborns

What is the carpet made of? If its a wool mix proceed with caution!
