If you are mostly going to be at home this summer holidays, please can you give me your best ideas for entertaining two boys aged 3 and 6 years during long, rainy days? We do go out in the rain, but can't be out all day...... Thanks

Screens.

Also, giant rolls of paper, cardboard boxes, crayons, stickers and masking tape. Paint if I’m feeling particularly crazy. Lego. Generally playing - if my six year old was complaining of boredom I found the suggestion of handwriting practice or folding washing usually inspired them to go and do something with their toys. Play date with a friend. Swimming at the leisure centre - there’s usually a cheap deal for kids especially at funny times of day. Try a new playground- we used to randomly pick a semi-nearby village off google maps and drive there to check out their playground, we found some good ones!
