My DS was due to go on a residential trip next month but it had to be cancelled due to covid restrictions. They informed us it was cancelled 5 weeks ago but I’m yet to receive a refund, it’s £200 so not an insignificant amount. The school confirmed they had received the money from the activity centre a fortnight ago so I know they have our money ready to refund but they still haven’t sent it. I messaged to ask about it last week and they told me they’re waiting for parentpay to ‘let them’ send the refunds

I’m just wondering whether anyone has any experience with parentpay or perhaps as a school secretary and can explain why this is taking so long. Thank you.
