I've been wfh last 18 months and now the office is asking us to return. My problem is I have been wearing loungewear for last 18 months and put on a stone. I cant get my head round wearing office wear again. Ive also got some nights out coming up where I will have to wear some smart clothes.

Im so used to wearing baggy informal clothes. I'm not used to wearing smart clothes anymore. Anyone else?? lol

I think a lot of us are in the same position where we’ve lived in baggy clothes and the old wardrobe might not be so flattering!

Oversized blouses and jeggings?

Feelinglow8736 · 21/06/2021 10:35

Yes I am thinking oversized blouses too and stretchy bottoms!

I hate wearing real clothes now
I’ve started this gym shorts and oversized t shirt thing now it’s warmer and I can’t face nice clothes

This is exactly why I continued “dressing up” for work in more or less what I’d wear to the office even when working from home!

Since it’s summer, what about looser dresses rather than trousers?

Feelinglow8736 · 21/06/2021 11:20

I'm exactly the same. I can't face nice clothes either! Yes a loose dress is a good idea.

Ive been wearing baggy t shirts for 18 months where i used to wear tight tops all the time. I feel strange wearing a tight top now Blush

Elasticated waist trousers are the way forward. I've got some very smart work trousers from M&S and Uniqlo which have a nice stretchy waistband. A dress is also quite forgiving.

BogRollBOGOF · 21/06/2021 13:46

Summer is good for loose fitting trousers and skirts/ dresses.

Vanillaradio · 21/06/2021 13:50

This is likely to ge an issue for me in a few weeks. I'm going to go with flowy skirts, trousers with elasticated waist and longer more baggy tops over! No more tight tops for me (don't think I even fit into them!)

Passthecake30 · 21/06/2021 13:54

I hated my work wardrobe with a vengeance even before enforced wfh so the thought of wearing it again agonises me! I’m SO happy that I don’t have to go in for the foreseeable (perhaps once a month long term?) so I can bin it all and start again. Sorry that doesn’t helpBlush

NOTHING from my pre-pandemic wardrobe fits me. This is very upsetting!
