Suggestions for few days away on my own

I have a few days off coming up and I'm thinking of booking a few nights away at the seaside on my own. Living and working in a tiny inner city flat with DP for 22+ hours a day for the past 18 months is really getting to me now.

Looking for somewhere with good walks and enough people around but not packed (safe for women to be walking alone). Any ideas appreciated - I live in London and happy to travel 2-3 hours away.

Southwold in Suffolk.

I did this many years ago and I went to stay in Lyme Regis in The Royal Lion Hotel that has an indoor pool. Its down near the front. Otherwise I think Southwold (already suggested) and Aldeburgh (my favourite) would be a good choice. Now I come to think of it, I might just go!

Sorry - I forgot to say that Bridport is also very nice. You can walk by the sea but there is a good shopping street and a weekend market.

@littlepieces knoll house hotel in studland. Walks on the Heath or direct access to the beach, also buses (open top) run to Swanage (and further) and via ferry to bournemouth. They have indoor and outdoor pool, treatments you can book. Awesome breakfasts and lovely atmosphere. Decor is 1930s, 1960s ish which I love

Anywhere except Suffolk please. Sorry. I grew up there and I don't have fond memories.

Arundel, West Sussex? Safe, small town with river, close to the coast for day trips and walking easy (although lots of hills)
