Hi everyone I'm 22 with a 16month old girl. After a scare I took her to the hospital laat monday. I usually go out everyday but this week I havnt so that's the main day i couldve got anything.
Thursday I started getting a sore lower back.
Saturday that lower back pain turned in to entire body aches, i got a headache when the body aches started. I felt week. I had a low fever, then 9ish I got really cold and the fever jumped up to 38.9 on my head.

Next morning I was perfectly fine.
Sunday night I'm trying to sleep and then a fever comes on, this time I cant sleep the entire night because my body is just so cold and shaking. Fall asleep 5 ish. Get up with my chis 6.30 and I'm really warm, but perfectly fine. If I breath in tk the max my chest feels a bit thickly but it's extremely mild.

No one else in the house is sick with anything, just me. I tested on the Saturday but it was negative. Is it worth another test? Does it sound like something else

Yes they took a urine sample and it's all fine. I have a tender stomach, my sides level with my ribcage is also tender. I also have a very mild cramping feeling in my abdomen. But in general I feel fine and havnt had a fever or the chills since. They have given me an appointment tommorow to feel my stomach. Covid tests were negative

I've had colds like that. Not as many since the pandemic, presumably bc we're all wearing masks.

Did you do a PCR test, or just lateral flow?

I have felt quite light headed, mg left knee cap is on and off sore to walk on. I dont know if it's related. She mentioned pelvic infection but I have no discharge, and theres no way in hell I'd have an std... will see what they say tommorow

She did mention a viral infection but I just cant understand why my child is perfectly fine. She has never been sick so I'm assuming if she came in contact with a virus she would come down with it pretty quick so i dont know.

I did an at home 30min test where u swab nose and mouth

Urinary infection? Nothing other than aches and high temp definitely worth having that checked. UTIs don't always have the urgent, stinging wee feeling

Regulus · 22/06/2021 11:16

For others reading the 30 min home test should not be used when you have symptoms. You need a PCR test which you book online.

Bluntness100 · 22/06/2021 11:20

Op are you suffering from any form of stress or anxiety? Have you suffered from anything like that before?

Quartz2208 · 22/06/2021 11:20

It sounds like a nasty virus

Viruses don’t get everyone in the household - even the Delta variant transmission rate in a household is well below 100%. Sometimes one or two people get it sometimes more

When DD was a year I had swine flu and norovirus in quick succession she was absolutely fine

I guess it's unlikely to be Covid given your symptoms and that you've already seen a GP, but for future reference if you have symptoms you should go to a walk in centre and get a PCR test that takes 12-48 hours to come back. The 30 minute home tests are only to pick up asymptomatic cases that would otherwise be missed.

It sounds like a nasty virus to me. Rest and see how it goes tomorrow.

Illnesses are not always passed on between families. Don’t fixate on the fact your daughter is fine - it means literally nothing.

Seriously79 · 22/06/2021 12:05

Op - this might sound crazy, but I've had exactly the same. I'm in the south west of England - where are you?

Body aches, ribs hurt, trouble sleeping, sweating but freezing cold and going to bed at 8.30 every night for the last week.

I done a test and it was negative.

Just had bloods taken last night at the gps.
